Photo: APThe flags rojinegras again flood the streets of Managua with a profusion that remembers the fervor of the revolutionary years, and although the Nicaragua Alliance Prevails headed by Daniel Ortega and the FSLN is integrated by ex- liberal and preservative, old cons grouped in the Nicaraguan Resistance and until by the party founded by Anastasio Somoza...
Some affirm that similar enthusiasm was not obvious in Nicaragua from the defeat of the dictator, when a process was opened for the first time in the country that put the Vista in the abandoned ones and it gave participation them in the political life them, the majorities.
Who single we observed from the distance, we imagined between the delighted ones to the members of that inclaudicable sandinista base that, with weighing, it saw the balance of the not declared contrarrevolucionaria war "" of the United States, in the electoral results of the 25 of February of 1990. Those elections marked the first defeat in the ballot boxes of a revolution. Now, nevertheless, and with the very own characteristics of the process that will open to the taking of possession of Daniel next the 10 of January, many understand that it is the first revolution that returns like result of the same electoral exercise...
But the mature men and women are not single who lived those ten revolutionary years that are distinguished in the photographies, and the little televising shootings where the joy by the triumph of Ortega can be appraised. Also there are many young people.
Among them fortune teller to Ernesto Aryan Salja Creek, ex- student leader turned for years Secretary General of Sandinista Youth. Kind and still obviously affected, he takes care of the call telephone of Rebellious Youth.
—What represents for Nicaragua this return from the sandinismo the government?
Mario Creek, Secretary General of Sandinista Youth. Photo: Calixto N. LLanes—A reedición of that glorious 19 of 1979 July (date of the revolutionary triumph) in which the hopes of the Nicaraguan town: from the woman, from youth, from the farmer, they return to bloom with a democratic project that responds to the interests of those popular classes; of all those marginalized sectors, in special, by the neoliberal policies of last the 16 years.
—- For which east triumph now, and not in the two previous electoral fights, when Daniel Ortega and the Sandinista Front also was postulated to the presidency?
—The capacity of the town was decisive to surpass the campaign of the terror, the campaign of the fear to that it has been put under historically by imperialism. After 16 years to be being put under the blackmails and pressures of the North American government, finally the town of Nicaragua, with much confidence, voted by its own hopes, their own interests and vindications. I believe that the speech of the imperialism that announced the return of the war and a situation imposed by they themselves to our country, totally is exhausted: no longer it works in our town.
—One affirms that the vote of youth was very important. To what you attribute that the young people have pronounced themselves in favor of Daniel Ortega?
—Without no doubt, the reasons are in their aspirations to a transformation of the dramatic reality that they have been put under by the neoliberal policies. I believe that that desire to see a different mother country, with options of social justice nearer us, is what mobilized to the great mass of youth. The youthful vote was mobilized in favor of a change project, of a project of social justice; a project that summons to the reconciliation and the unit of the family; a nationalistic project that responds to the interests of each one of the Nicaraguans and, of course, of the youth that dreams and aspires to being protagonist of true transformations. We bet for that reason.
"the challenges now are enormous, and we are conscious of the responsibility that we have assumed with this electoral result".
—In agreement with the program of the Sandinista Front, which is the first postulate that will be materialized in the work of you?
—To obtain a right and much more more equitable distribution of the wealth; to turn around the glance towards the social deficiencies; to return to our town the gratuitous health and the education to him: rights acquired and briefed with the revolution that went losing little by little after 1990. To return to our town the fundamental rights to him to the life, like the use; to give back the financing to our small and medium producers. To constitute a sensitized government who can be facilitador of the national development from our own capacities; and to obtain a transformation that vindicates social justice like transverse axis of all the governmental management.
"I believe that the fundamental task of our government is to continue contributing the reconciliation, and to end for always that imperialistic aggressive speech that has located to the Nicaraguan family within a division and fear frame. Today we can say that it is exiled.
"Daniel Ortega Won, the Nicaraguan revolution was vindicated, and the country is normal, festejando. The Nicaraguans we are celebrating an electoral process that it vindicates our capacity and political culture, and that without a doubt is been from that revolutionary process.
Photo: AP"Contrary to which it had been said during these years, today in the country there is war nor no social instability; there is no convulsion. What it is breathed is tranquillity, security and, of course, there are many hopes. It has them, inclusively, the liberal farmer, the farmer who did not bet by that project but that today, after days to know the result electoral, he has been pronounced with expectations and with the hope over which this government of the Nicaragua unit Prevails he is going to know how to respond to his aspirations, and to give the solution required to each one of the problems.
—- the Sandinista Front will have to take ahead such intentions counting on the members of this formed ample alliance facing the elections. It will be able to imply that the way is more difficult, it will put restrictions?
—- I believe that first of all it is necessary to hope on the part of the representatives of the right, of the rancid and reactionary oligarchy of our country. I believe that there would be to hope everything of North American imperialism to avoid that desires of the town take shape. But the Nicaraguans we have capacity and we have learned much. The experience of these years submissive those policies that have left nonsingle the poorest people, but also our national capital and our national industralists, has made the aspiration of a unit government common who know to systematize and to assimilate the necessity of this town to become, to solve the acute problems that it has. In our country hunger exists, exists illiteracy, exists unemployment; that we have supported the Nicaraguans to it in general.
— During the revolutionary stage, Sandinista Youth was protagonist of important projects. They have some concrete initiative as of January?
—- Sandinista Youth understands that the commitments are many. Our greater challenge is to be creators and to assume a protagónico roll in the transformation and the impulse of a management of popular government who considers to people like change subject.
"In our country, a 63 percent of the population is smaller of 30 years. The young people we are the fundamental factor, the people in charge to assume the change.
"Daniel Ortega has summoned to the young people throughout all the electoral campaign to being part protagonist of the government. The sandinista government, like all revolutionary executive, is going to be a commitment, change, youth government. The young people we have been prepared for that and anxious for 16 years in which that opportunity returned to participate to us and working by the development of our town ".
" To be worships is the only way of being free " ........ Jose Martí.
